So, since I do not know what to do this blog over, I guess I will do it over my enthusiasm, not hatred because “hate” is a strong word, against Twilight. Now, the reason I do not care for Twilight is because it does not follow the traditional vampire and it is too “lovey-dovey” for my taste. Now I will admit, some of the effects are cool. The other thing that gets under my skin is the fact that the vampires sparkle. I can handle the love story, the drama, and even the hair, but the sparkles are where I draw the line. It reminds me of my little sister’s Barbie dolls, not scary, blood-sucking vampires. I could go on, but I don’t want to be too critical. The other thing I do give credit to Twilight is that it did try to do something different with vampires, but I feel like it fell below the bar on that attempt. But who knows? Maybe one day I might wake up and like it.
