The main reason that I want to go to college is for a better chance at great career opportunities, instead of only having a chance at a career at McDonald’s or Wal-Mart, which would not be a “dream” job. In my case, particularly, I would be looking for a career in some type of business, such as accounting. I believe that by going to college I can better prepare myself for a business type of career by learning the main principles of business in classes, gain “on-the-job” experience through internships with companies, or businesses, and making influential contacts, which can help in the application process for a certain job. Another thing about internships is that if one does good enough work, which means that you have to at least put one-hundred and ten percent effort in, for the business, or company, there is a chance that business might offer you a career either during, or after college. Aside from preparation, colleges also have many resources such as alumni base, and career and development services, which can help me, find a job, or better yet, a start to a new, exhilarating career.
