response to liar liar
i just read the Liar, Liar article and found it very intriguing. it asked the question "can a picture be true or false," and ended with the statement that no, a picture can never be labled either true or false. a picture is a picture is a picture is a picture. even if you dont know what the picture is of, or if you do not recognize what is in the frame, it is not true or false. the opinion is in the eye of the beholder and true and false are facts. a picture is a fact with artistic value, which may be a contradictory to art itself. for example, lets say we show the Mona Lisa to someone who has never seen it before, they would see a woman with a calm look on her face, they would have no backround or context but they would create their own opinion on it. there are no supporting facts of the woman's name or weather she even existed but in that painting, she is real. maybe this blog doesnt make sense and it probably doesnt have much of a point, but since it is a free blog i just decided to write down the inner workings of my mind. hope you enjoy :)
